Google LOON Project - Internet For All!

Remote parts of the globe may soon have high speed internet!  Even in the United States, there are several areas that don't offer high speed internet.  Just 10 miles north of my office, there is limited or only dial up internet, let alone the millions across the globe that are located in remote regions.  Google has developed a a WIFI signal that is carried by a balloon, actually several balloons.  Cited as Google LOON (project), the ability to have multiple WIFI balloons that are flying in the stratosphere (12 miles high) will provide a WIFI signal to these remote regions.  This could be the beginning of the end of "having no internet" at your home.  While it is premature to say the least, this type of forward thinking is just the beginning of new technology advances.  Read more here:
